What it actually does

ServiceTitan is the heavy shop operating system at servicetitan.com. ServiceTitan, Inc. sells it as AI software for commercial and residential trades. You dispatch the trucks, book the call, send the invoice, run payroll, and watch closing rates by tech. That is the product. It is not a receptionist you can buy tonight. It is not a reviews SKU with a public price.

The live pricing page on September 1, 2026 prints no dollars. The headline is per-technician pricing. Three packages: Starter, Essentials, The Works. Each button is Request Pricing. The demo form asks for industry, Number of Techs, whether you have at least one full-time office employee, residential or commercial, and service-and-replacement or construction. There is no self-serve checkout.

What they list on every card we could read: dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing, pricebook, mobile estimates, payroll (configurable on The Works), advanced reporting, commission tracking, customizable memberships. Marketing copy around the packages talks about the dispatch board, call recording, campaign stats tied to revenue, checklists, and GPS on the way to the house. Pro products (Field Pro, Pay and Get Paid) sit behind Get Demo the same way.

Do not paste a blog rate card. Third-party pages still invent per-tech monthly numbers. Those dollars were not on the vendor page we opened.

Who should buy it

Buy it

Buy it if you already run a bigger home-service company, you have office people, and you wanted one system for dispatch, pricebook, payroll, and the membership book. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical are the core aisles they sell. Garage door, pest control, landscape, painting, locksmith, and remodeling pages exist on their industries list.

Skip it

Do not buy it if you are a two-truck shop that needed quotes and invoices this week. Jobber Core is $49 a month cash. Housecall Pro Basic is $79. Those are public tables. ServiceTitan is Custom. Do not buy it as an AI receptionist. The demo is a sales call, not a 14-day self-serve trial with a published cash price.

The catch

The reason not to buy, even when the OS is the right aisle, is the paper. Terms of Use last updated July 17, 2026 (ServiceTitan, Inc.). The term is on the Order Form. If the Terms of Use are the only agreement, subscriptions are month-to-month with thirty days written notice of nonrenewal. That is not a public 12-month default you can quote before you see the form. Fees are non-refundable. End the Agreement early and you owe a termination fee equal to the remaining payments. Extra seats and add-on subscriptions: cancel before they renew, email billing@servicetitan.com. Paid Authorized Users cannot be unassigned mid-period without written approval. After termination they will try to export Customer Data on request (fees may apply) and they are not obligated to keep it more than 60 days.
